Strain Description

Bred and introduced in the then-blossoming cannabis scene of the 60s, Haze is one of the oldest Sativa strains around. Its renowned array of cerebral effects come from various landraces including South Asian, Thai, Mexican and Colombian. Such diversity in its genetics helps bring an unrivaled high with desirable mental and physical impacts.

Boasting an impressive 80% Sativa content, the strain's uplifting shot never misses the mark. It comes surging in fast, and maintains its grip for many hours. Then, as the head high wanes, a mild body buzz creeps in and causes a deep laziness that seeps into the bones.

Haze is a very highly coveted variety especially among growers equipped with the necessary know-how. But now this great plant has been taken a step further: blending it with Lowryder brings sturdiness and quick maturity in a new automatic version. Even aspiring cultivators can get their unskilled hands on the super Sativa thanks to these autoflowering seeds from Homegrown Cannabis Co. The plant has all the older version's wonderful traits, but it's now ready for harvest in record time. Thriving in any setup and with abundant yields, this little beauty won't disappoint.

Growing Haze from Autoflowering Seeds

Haze Auto is a cultivator's delight. It can grow beautifully even when given minimal attention. Truly Sativa but way tinier than most, its uncondensed colas run long and have an abundance of orange hairs. With a closer look, you'll notice the buds are not as compact as Indica nuggets, but they're still thickly caked with gluey resin.

An Auto Haze's complete lifecycle only lasts for 12 to 13 weeks. 8 to 9 weeks of those are used to fatten the buds up ready for harvest, to the point that they appear to be bursting at the seams. Growers who'd like to secure a year-long supply of Haze should grow these autoflowering seeds in a controlled setting. Once the blooming stage comes to a close, gardeners can expect 0.98 to 1.63 ounces of sticky buds per square foot.

Outdoor growers won't enjoy as big a harvest, but they can boost their overall turnout by growing several plants or going for two or more batches. In the northern hemisphere, the earliest harvest comes around April, and cultivators can continue to sow and harvest until October. With every reaping, each plant can produce around 1.75 to 3.5 ounces of fresh buds.

Fragrance and Flavor

Haze has a simple yet very distinct and pleasant bouquet. It boasts a sweet orange scent complemented with the refreshing essence of a damp flower bed. The taste is similar to the fragrance, but with a bit of a twist. Its citrus tang has a drop of honey, a tinge of mixed herbs and spices, and, finally, a dash of Oakwood. That's quite a lot of flavors in one bud – and the fusion is heavenly.

Effects

This classic cannabis is perfect for wake and bake. Like a good, hot cup of coffee, just one toke can enliven even the sleepiest of tokers. Its cerebral buzz comes with a euphoric and uplifting sensation that quickly plasters a smile on the face. Soon, it gets to work boosting vigor and arousing creativity.

All good things must eventually come to an end, and so does Auto Haze's marathon of mental stimulation. As the flight descends, wave after wave of relaxation will hit the body. The calm is sufficiently strong to ease tension but mild enough to allow mobility. Excellent for some post-work chilling, the comedown is gentle and soothing.

Consuming too much Auto Haze may lead to undesirable effects, and it can cause common discomforts such as cottonmouth and dry eyes. Although both conditions are manageable, they can be quite irritating. Staying properly hydrated can work wonders, and keeping an over-the-counter eye lubricant to hand is a great tip as well.

Excessive consumption may bring about more severe side effects. Some people may feel lightheaded or experience paranoia or anxiety. The most prone to such symptoms are newbies and users with poor THC tolerance. Remember to stay low with the dosage, and keep the pace slow.

Medical

Haze is highly regarded in the medical marijuana scene. It's often used for easing chronic pain and the symptoms of mental health concerns. Thanks to its minimal side effects, this herb is seen as a holy grail for those who want to explore an organic solution to their ailments.

Usually given to patients struggling with depression, anxiety and stress, the strain may induce a joyous, happy high that eliminates gloomy thoughts and negative emotions. Its appetite-boosting feature may help people with eating disorders, and it may also stop nausea and vomiting.

The strain has also been used to alleviate chronic pain, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Its users include people with arthritis, PMS, migraines and eye pressure.

Autoflower Haze Seeds

Haze is a true legend that has parented a throng of other variants. Its effects and traits are so highly-desired that tokers and breeders alike are lining up to get a piece of it. Growers too have jumped on the bandwagon – and now, with Homegrown Cannabis Co.'s autoflowering seeds, starting a grow journey is even easier. Even beginners can get their hands on an abundant yield without much hard work.

Is there a "being" out there in the universe that can tell me definitely what type of cannabis to grow in a hot/humid subtropical climate? We frequently get summer days in the high 80's/low 90's with humidity at 88%. BTW, I plan on growing outdoors in pots so when the rains come, I bring the plants inside my garage, where it also gets quite hot and humid. I run a fan to supply airflow. I have tried Northern Lights Auto. It gave me nice sticky flowers when harvested but I feel that the THC content could have been higher. I have my sights set on Gelato or Gorilla Glue Auto. Thanks for the help with choosing seeds!
