CBD Carmagnola is an Italian landrace that was first introduced to the market in the 1960s. Although it's been around for a few decades, it remains a rare strain that's quite difficult to get hold of. Still, this particular plant is well-loved by many local cannabis enthusiasts, and it has many different applications. It's been used as a food additive and tobacco substitute, as well as being made into tea, oil and concentrates.
The strain has an outstanding 27:1 cannabinoid profile. Its CBD averages 9% if cultivated in optimal conditions, but its THC content is minimal at only 0.3%. It's said to provide potential relief from health concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, emesis, ADHD and insomnia, while causing minimal psychoactive interference. It's also excellent for recreational consumption as it provides deep relaxation with a barely noticeable cerebral buzz.
CBD Carmagnola can withstand cold, harsh environments but it prefers warm and sunny locations. Despite its natural resilience, it's best cultivated by mid-level growers, since it can stretch very tall outdoors and this may pose some challenges. Luckily, these feminized seeds help make the grow journey less complicated because there's no need to wait for the pre-flowers to emerge or segregate the males. Instead, you'll get a medium-to-heavy yield, with all your efforts going towards top quality, smokeable buds.
Growing CBD Carmagnola from Feminized Seeds
CBD Carmagnola grows vigorously during the vegetative cycle, and can reach a massive 21 feet tall if left to its own devices. Due to its enormous stretch and its ability to handle unfavorable environments, guerilla growing is a popular option with this strain. It can adapt to various climates and has been proven to thrive in North, Central and Southern Europe, as well as in North and South America.
In the northern hemisphere, CBD Carmagnola can be grown from mid-April to the end of June. For optimal flowering and resin production, it's best to grow it indoors, where crucial factors such as light, heat and humidity can be regulated to a tee. Keep the temperature around 70 to 79°F, and the humidity between 40% and 50% during the first 5 to 7 weeks of its 7- to 9-week-long flowering cycle. A couple of weeks before harvest, lower the RH to 30 to 40%. If the vertical space is limited, you can use the ScrOG method, which can bring yields of around 0.98 to 1.31 ounces per square foot come harvest time.
If outdoor conditions are optimal, feel free to grow this giant al fresco style. Its colossal height may make it difficult to move indoors, though, if the weather takes a turn for the worse. In the northern hemisphere, prepare for harvest by early October and expect about 17 to 21 ounces of beautiful nugs per plant.
Fragrance and Flavor
Although CBD Carmagnola originated in Europe, its tropical scent will transport you straight to Hawaii. Its pineapple aroma and flavor comes hand-in-hand with a musty loam-like undertone and a hint of lemon freshness. When the buds are broken apart and lit up, the earthiness becomes slightly stronger, but the vapor remains sweet and tart.
Effects
Recreational consumers will not experience a psychoactive high when using CBD Carmagnola, although a mellow buzz may manifest. If you're feeling down in the dumps, its uplifting effect is sure to give you a sense of contentment and happiness. Mental clutter is cleared away, helping you to focus on the tasks at hand.
At the same time, a thoroughly relaxing sensation blankets the entire body, but unlike high-THC strains, this one won't cause couch-lock. Activities requiring mobility can still be performed, but it's better to stick with non-strenuous tasks. After a while, the calm feeling will intensify and reach to the point of sedation, resulting in a deep, satisfying sleep.
CBD Carmagnola (CBD: 9% THC: 0.3%) Feminized Seeds
Recreational and medicinal users alike can enjoy the relaxing effects of CBD Carmagnola. This nighttime strain delivers a subtle yet calming buzz that uplifts the mood and boosts focus. It's said to work wonders against stress, anxiety, depression, emesis, ADHD and insomnia – all with minimal psychoactive interference.
If you're looking for a highly medicinal strain and you have enough space for a seriously tall plant, then these feminized CBD Carmagnola seeds are a great option. This beauty can withstand harsh environments, and it produces medium to heavy yields of around 0.98 to 1.31 ounces per square foot indoors, or up to 21 ounces per plant outside.
