Neville's Haze Feminized
STRAIN PROFILE Neville's Haze Feminized
Neville's Haze Feminized Profile by Kyle Kushman
Neville’s Haze Feminized Marijuana Seeds
Haze strains and other Sativa-leaning varieties are highly sought-after thanks to their out-of-this-world cerebral high and prolific yields. But these plants are notoriously challenging to grow due to their extensive flowering period, which makes them unsuitable for cultivation in locations with short summers and long cold seasons, such as in Europe. With this problem in mind, the visionary breeder Nevil Schoenmakers created a version of the original Haze that is sturdy enough to withstand the drop in temperature.
Neville’s Haze is a revamped version of the classic Haze – one that bears the influence of Northern Lights #5’s robust genes. The addition of this potent and heavy-hitting Indica to the mix significantly enhances Haze’s ability to cope with temperamental climates, making it possible for cultivators in colder regions to grow the coveted psychedelic strain. Northern Lights #5 also grants it the ability to produce a heavy coat of resins, all while slightly shortening its lengthy flowering period.
Homegrown Cannabis Co.’s Neville’s Haze feminized seeds are a great choice for both commercial and home cultivation. While the plant still poses a challenge in the garden with its vigorous growth and extended flowering, you can rest assured that the rewards come harvest time far surpass the effort spent. Since all the plants will be female, weeding out males will no longer be of concern, making for a less tedious and less complicated growing experience all round.
Growing Neville’s Haze from Feminized Seeds
Neville’s Haze is one of a few almost pure Sativa strains, but there’s a touch of Indica courtesy of Northern Lights #5. The combination makes for a resilient offspring that can brave even a wintry landscape, but it’s still one of the most challenging strains to rear. Its monstrous size can be difficult to manage, and the plant really takes its time with its extended flowering period. It’s also sensitive to even the slightest change in pH, and it requires specific feeding needs. But having said all that, it very generously repays the effort by producing arguably the best trichome-laden Sativa buds in existence.
Organic soil is the most suitable substrate to use, because it contains a host of naturally-occurring microorganisms that act as a buffer against drastic changes in pH levels, which should be maintained between 6.0 and 6.8 to ensure healthy growth.
When growing indoors, you’ll need to ensure that the grow room is spacious enough to accommodate the plant’s towering height. Neville’s Haze can grow to almost 7 feet tall, so advanced height-curbing techniques will be needed in order to tame it. The Screen of Green technique will encourage lateral growth, preventing the plant from stretching upwards and increasing the overall yield by encouraging multiple budding sites. Despite its favorable leaf-to-calyx ratio, it still requires regular maintenance and frequent pruning to keep it in tip-top shape. After 10 to 14 weeks of flowering, around 2.13 ounces per square foot of trichome-encrusted buds will be ready for harvest.
Outdoor growing is also an excellent choice for this strain, and it performs best when cultivated in a warm, sunny Mediterranean climate. It’s pretty much impossible to keep it discreet, though, because when grown out in the open it can reach more than 13 feet tall. But the rewards are more than worth it: each plant can produce up to 28 ounces of top-quality Kush when exposed to plenty of sunshine.
Fragrance and Flavor
Neville’s Haze exudes a mouthwatering tropical aroma of pine with floral notes. When smoked, it delights the palate with a sweet and sour blend reminiscent of freshly picked lemons laced with honey. On the exhale, it leaves a lingering earthy aftertaste.
Much like a double-shot espresso, Neville’s Haze exerts an otherworldly cerebral high that can be downright overwhelming to the inexperienced or THC intolerant. To seasoned tokers, though, the almost-psychedelic effects are simply incredible.
With a whopping 21% THC level, the hard-hitting high manifests within moments of dosing. It jolts the mind and body into action with a burst of high-octane energy that stirs creativity and sharpens focus, all while keeping you enthusiastic and motivated enough to stay on top of things. Such effects ultimately boost productivity, which makes Neville's Haze the perfect wake-and-bake strain to start the day with vigor.
Although it has a quarter of NL #5 in its genes, the strain’s sedating effects are not strong enough to hinder movement and activity. Instead, the sense of relaxation is subtle but pleasant as it tempers the soaring cerebral high of the other parent.
Overindulgence may cause unwanted side effects such as anxiety and paranoia, so it’s always best to go low and slow.
Neville’s Haze is not only adored because of its soaring cerebral high, but also because of its many potential medical applications.
It’s said to possess antioxidant, anxiolytic, and antidepressant properties that may help remedy stress, anxiety, and depression. Since stress often plays a vital role in exacerbating mental issues, addressing it first may bring immense relief to patients. Neville’s Haze also enhances the mood and inspires an upbeat disposition as well as a sense of calm that helps silence pessimistic and anxious thoughts.
The strain is also said to contain potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents, and has been used by patients suffering from chronic conditions such as back pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and many other physical conditions. It relaxes the muscles, which may consequently release tension and ease fatigue.
Neville’s Haze Feminized Seeds
Neville’s Haze is an almost pure Sativa strain that incites an exhilarating and energetic high that might just be the perfect remedy for fatigue and burn out. It may also help temporarily eradicate stress, anxiety, depressive disorders and chronic illnesses without exerting severe adverse reactions.
