Snow Ripper Feminized
STRAIN PROFILE Snow Ripper Feminized
Snow Ripper Feminized Profile by Kyle Kushman
If you find yourself in need of deep-body relaxation after a hard day's work, Snow Ripper is the bud to light up. It’s quick and easy to grow, and it’s even better with Homegrown Cannabis Co.’s feminized seeds. Thanks to these little beans, anyone can cultivate a mostly-female troop of high quality, big yielding plants.
A blend of Ginger Ale and Afghani, Snow Ripper also has a secret hybrid in its genetics that adds a little bit of mystique to its profile. Also unknown is the percentage of its Sativa content – although it’s assumed to be minimal since the effects are predominantly Indica.
Fittingly for a strain shrouded by enigma, the origin of its name is also subject to debate. Its scent is reminiscent of the smell of a damp forest after winter rain, so perhaps that’s the source of inspiration.
Clearly, much about Snow Ripper is still open to question. But one thing’s for sure: it’s a strong, sedating weed that hits very hard indeed. You can smoke it to help relieve stress, or to enjoy a calm physical state. Whatever the reason, tranquility is definitely on the cards with this strain.
Growing Snow Ripper from Feminized Seeds
Resilient to mold, disease, and pests, Snow Ripper is a sheer joy for gardeners. Novices will not find it difficult to cultivate, and experienced growers will find it an absolute breeze.
Besides being naturally hardy, it also produces heaps of large nugs covered with resin, so it’s ideal for making BHO and hash. It has a typical Indica bushy structure with large leaves and stems that grow close together.
Snow Ripper's small stature means it’s great for growing indoors as it doesn’t require much space. Simply give it proper hydration, nutrition and light management, and it’ll thrive. After 8 to 9 weeks of flowering, you can expect a yield of 1.15 to 1.47 ounces per square foot.
If you want to increase the yield further, consider growing the strain outdoors. As it’s resistant to common plant problems, it will need even less attention, but it does require plenty of sun. Its flowering period takes place around mid-April in the southern hemisphere and mid-October in the north. Come harvest time, you could enjoy a bountiful harvest of around 21 ounces per plant.
Fragrance and Flavor
Snow Ripper is a very aromatic strain that emits a pungent fragrance of pine and gritty wood. When smoked, the scent of wet grass and earthy ground is undeniable. If you close your eyes, it can instantly transport you to a frosty woodland.
The flavor is livelier than the scent, but also more pungent. On inhale, it has an intense floral taste that turns earthier on exhale.
With a THC level of 15% to 22%, this weed provides a cerebral high first. It will quickly shoo away gloomy thoughts and make you fly sky high with an uplifted mood. Then, after a few minutes, the bud's immense Indica content will kick in. A calm sensation will take over your entire body until you reach a state of utter physical bliss.
This Indica-dominant strain is extremely potent, so inexperienced users would be wise to steer clear. It’s also vital that it's smoked after work and in a safe and comfortable place where you can lounge and, eventually, sleep. Even in moderate doses, Slumberville is always the final destination.
If you’ve had a long, nerve-wracking day at work then you might want to give this bud a go. After just a couple of puffs, you’ll begin to feel stress-free in both body and mind. Many hours of deep sleep will likely follow, after which you’ll awaken refreshed and ready to take on a new day’s challenges.
Snow Ripper is said to be valuable in aiding patients suffering from stress, anxiety and insomnia. With its powerful relaxing and uplifting effects, it may reduce the symptoms of these psychological concerns, helping patients to feel calm, serene and happy.
The strain is also said to have useful analgesic and muscle-relaxing properties that may alleviate aches and pains. It’s essential, however, to address the real cause of the physical discomfort instead of relying on temporary relief.
Despite its potential benefits, there can be some adverse reactions from this strain. Dry eyes and cottonmouth are very common, and can usually be remedied through a combination of proper hydration and over-the-counter eye drops.
Those who are susceptible to mental health issues or have low THC tolerance may also experience more troubling side effects. If you feel dizzy, anxious or get a headache then you should go for a lower dose or switch to a different strain altogether.
Feminized Snow Ripper Seeds
Most growers have no intention to breed and so have no use for male plants. With Homegrown Cannabis' Co.’s Snow Ripper feminized seeds, you get an almost all-female bunch – that means more cannabis to enjoy, and less time, space and other resources used.
