First introduced in the 1970s, Skunk is one of the backbones of the 420 breeding industry. Skunk is physically robust and able to withstand unfriendly outdoor conditions. When gardening for consumption, using its feminized seeds make things a lot easier.
Skunk Feminized Seeds profile
Despite its hybrid genetics, Growing Skunk looks very much like an Indica. It does not mature above 5 ft and has thick, sturdy branches ready to carry as much load as it is given. Also, its colas have a high calyx-to-leaf ratio, giving the flowers more cannabinoid and terpene concentration.
Lineage: To produce Skunk, three landrace cultivars were used. Its relaxing effect and resilience against diseases are from Afghani. Meanwhile, Acapulco Gold contributed its uplifting head high and physical buzz. Last but not least is Colombian Gold.
Cannabinoid Content: Skunk feminized seeds produce plants with a moderate THC content of around 14%. The CBD in Skunk feminized seeds is quite low, at approximately 0.2%.
Terpene Profile: Skunk seeds have a terpene profile that typically includes myrcene, caryophyllene, limonene, pinene, linalool, and terpinolene.
Yields: When grown indoors, Skunk strains can typically yield around 1.5 to 2.5 ounces (42 to 70 grams) per square foot of canopy. Outdoor cultivation can yield even more, with some experienced growers reporting harvests of 2 to 4 pounds (900 grams to 1.8 kilograms) per plant.
Skunk feminized seeds effects
The mental punch hits fast and leaves a slight pressure around the head, like when wearing a hat or beanie that is too small. It sets the mind in a state of euphoria and elevates the mood almost instantly. Then, as if the herb opened the floodgates of the brain's creativity dam, a flood of new ideas starts coming in within minutes.
The physical effect of a cannabis variant determines when it is best used. In the case of Skunk, most enthusiasts consume it after work or whenever there is plenty of time to relax. The bud soothes away muscle tension and discomforts. It also makes lazing around ultra tempting and, in high dosages, there is a possibility of a couch-lock.
Germinating and growing Skunk Feminized Seeds
Germination Guide: For successful germination of Skunk feminized seeds, we suggest using the tried-and-true paper towel technique. Gather your Skunk feminized seeds, a dinner plate, sterilized water, and paper towels.
Dampen the paper towels, lay them on the plate, and position your seeds between them, spacing them about an inch apart. Put the plate in a warm, dark, and humid environment. Regularly maintain towel moisture by adding water as necessary and monitor for any excess water accumulation underneath.
Germination Guarantee: Kindly be aware that our germination guarantee is contingent upon following the paper towel method described in our germination guide. Utilizing alternative methods may nullify this guarantee.
Growing Tips: Because the plant is rather bushy, giving a regular trimming allows for better airflow and light penetration. Its lower branches can also be removed, although that depends on the preferred grow technique.
In an indoor setup, it is best grown in batch (minimum of 4) and arranged in a Sea of Green (SOG) to boost the harvest.
Ensure that the required temperature and humidity level per grow stages are appropriately set. If all variables are in sync, achieving 450 to 500 grams of beautiful, compact buds after 9 to 10 weeks of flowering is possible.
Similarly, cultivating in an outdoor location with optimal grow conditions results in a fruitful harvest. In locations with a Mediterranean climate, the yield can be as huge as 500 grams per plant due to the abundance of sunlight and tolerable amount of wind.
Skunk shares an uplifting head high and physical relaxation. The female Skunk is robust and can withstand unfriendly outdoor conditions due to its landrace roots. Plus, when growing for consumption, having an all-fem batch make things a lot easier.
